Van onze toernooi-coordinator Jan Herman ten Bruggencate
Het toernooi in Nottingham (van 29 juni – 6 juli) waar onze teams H65B, 70B en D65B aan deelnamen was zeer geslaagd. We hebben de England LX organisatie namens de NHC60+ deelnemers hiervoor bedankt en ontvingen van hen onderstaand bericht, wat we graag met onze leden willen delen.
Dear Jan Herman,
On behalf of the LX Organising Committee and the Nottingham Hockey Centre, we extend our warmest thanks to every player, official, and supporter who came to Nottingham and, in the true spirit of WGMA events, made this year’s International Hockey Festival and the LX 30th anniversary such a great occasion.
Your energy and endeavour on the pitch, cheers and chanting from the sidelines and relaxed ambience together off the pitch created a wonderful sporting atmosphere. There were some thrilling matches across all age groups, especially on the last 2 days, showcasing the amazing talent and teamwork from age 60 to 85! We loved your reaction to Robin Hood and all at the Opening Ceremony, the fantastic buzz at the Fiesta Party, the intensity of the Archery competition, and your involvement at the ‘windy’ traditional Fish and Chip evening. The spirit and camaraderie around the Centre, where old friends reconnected and new friendships formed, was symbolic of what we all enjoy about hockey.
We have genuinely appreciated the many messages we have received. Please have a safe trip home and we hope everyone can meet up at Grandmasters events around the globe in the future!
